Snakes of Zambia: An Atlas and Field Guide by Donald G Broadley, Craig T Doria & Jürgen Wigge.

The authors shared their field experience in Zambia and the neighbouring countries in this field guide of Zambia. This volume leads with a chapter on the Zambian zoogeography, sharing the range of habitat types. A series of keys has been formulated,  assisting in the identification of all snakes in this region. These keys are assisted by figures showing diagnostic arrangements of head shields.  Natural history notes are incorporated with the available data on captive care. An extensive chapter on snake bite treatment is included, compiling the available knowledge on envenomation and medical care in Zambia and other African countries.
